A top UK Diplomat to US blasts Donald Trump as being ‘clumsy’, ‘insecure’ and ‘incompetent’ in a leaked diplomatic cables.
Kim Darroch, the British Ambassador to Washington sent a series of memos to London, as revealed by the leaked information, on how a top US ally views the Trump Administration.
Ambassador Darroch was critical that Trump’s economic policies could wreck the world’s trade system and his (Trump) collusion with Russia could worsen situations.
Although, Ambassadors are allowed to be candid about their views, this case may not threaten the US-UK relationship enjoyed since the 1500’s but could put the Trump administration on shaky grounds.
Some are wondering whether this could be a breach of protocol or an official stance of the UK government. Neither of this could be verified at the moment as the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office is investigating this.
