Students injured after a science experiment went wrong

After a scientific experiment in the classroom went wrong, several children were injured in a primary school in Sydney, Australia.
According to reports, at least two kids with severe burns were taken by ambulance to a hospital. It’s suspected that nine other people had minor burns.
Initial reports indicate that methylated spirits and sodium bicarbonate were used in the experiment, according to the source.
Fire vehicles, paramedics, and helicopters were spotted arriving in the area.
On Monday, the event happened at Manly West Public School.
Acting Superintendent of New South Wales Ambulance Phil Templemen said that the experiment was affected by the wind, which also scattered some of the chemicals used.

The Sydney Morning Herald said that youngsters, who are thought to be between the ages of 10 and 11, have burns to various parts of their body, including their face, chest, lower belly, and legs (SMH).
Additionally, a teacher had minor injury treatment.
According to a neighbor who spoke to the SMH, a teacher had appeared outside to address a crowd of people who had gathered there. However, it is unclear what sort of experiment the school conducted.
