Manchester United “betrayed” me, Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo has said that he feels “betrayed” by Manchester United and that the club’s manager Erik Ten Hag and other top officials are attempting to oust him from the organization.

In a Sunday interview, Ronaldo remarked of Ten Hag, “I don’t have respect for him because he doesn’t show respect for me”. “Not just the coach, but also one or two people from the team. I felt betrayed”.

Since Ten Hag took over as manager this year, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, who returned to Old Trafford at the beginning of last season, has been a supporting actor on the field.

Ten Hag claimed last month that with a few minutes left in the game, Ronaldo went down the tunnel after declining to enter as a replacement against Tottenham Hotspur.

The team that played Chelsea the following Saturday did not include him in it.

The 37-year-old has recently made a comeback and even captained the Red Devils in a 3-1 loss at Aston Villa last weekend, but he was not present for Sunday’s 2-1 win against Fulham, which was United’s final game before a six-week break for the World Cup.

When his daughter was admitted to the hospital in July, Ronaldo said Manchester United did not back him. When he was late for preseason practice, he said the team mistrusted him and lacked compassion.
