Russian missile hit the Poland, killing two people

According to firefighters, an explosion in the village of Przewodow in eastern Poland, close to the Ukrainian border, has claimed the lives of two persons.
According to Lukasz Kucy, an officer on duty at a neighboring firefighters’ post, “Firefighters are on the scene, it’s unclear what has happened.”
Without providing any additional information, Polish Radio ZET earlier stated that two errant missiles hit Przewodow and killed two persons.

The reports came as Russia was reportedly launching its biggest wave of missile attacks against Ukrainian cities in the course of the roughly nine-month-long conflict.
A government committee for national security and defense affairs has been called urgently to convene, according to a government spokesman for Poland’s Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

A special meeting of NATO has been scheduled for Wednesday to address the incident and potential actions.

The Pentagon has stated that it is looking into reports that two Russian missiles have reportedly touched down inside NATO member Poland.
Pat Ryder, a spokesman for the Pentagon, stated that the Pentagon was “looking into this further” and added, “We are aware of the press claims indicating that two Russian missiles have hit a point inside Poland or the Ukraine border.”

Russia’s defense ministry has rejected allegations that Russian missiles hit Polish soil, calling the incident a “deliberate provocation aimed at worsening the situation.”
