Russia invades Ukraine with Missile Attacks on its Major Cities

Russia attacking major Ukrainian cities with missiles

Russia has begun attacking Ukraine from the East with major cities being hit by missiles.

President Vladimir Putin has announced a full scale war with Ukraine by bombing its major cities including its capital, Kyiv as confirmed by Reuters News.

US President, Joe. Biden has condemned the attack as an “unprovoked and unjustified war”. He says he will meet with his G7 counterparts to impose severe sanctions on Russia.

The War comes after Russia calling for an end to NATO’s eastward expansion into Ukraine.

Putin asserts that Ukrainian membership of the U.S.-led Atlantic military alliance was not necessary and is unacceptable as far as its own security is threatened.

President Biden said, “United States and its Allies and partners will respond in a united and decisive way”.

A number of sanctions have already been imposed on Russia by the West and more seem to be looming.
