Heinous attack in Texas school shooting, kills many children

The attacker opened fire at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, where children aged seven to ten are taught, before being killed by police, according to officials. A shooting at a primary school in south Texas claimed the lives of 19 young children and two adults.

Investigators said the 18-year-old suspect possessed a handgun, an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle, and high-capacity magazines.

Before the rampage, the kid is suspected of shooting his grandmother.

He may have been a high school student in the neighbourhood, according to local media.

The shooting began at 11:32 a.m. local time on Tuesday, according to Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District Chief of Police Pete Arredondo, and police believe the attacker “acted alone during this horrible crime.”

Governor Greg Abbott said the shooter in this Texas school shooting, Salvador Ramos, abandoned a vehicle before entering the school to “horribly, incomprehensibly” kill students.

According to the Associated Press, a US Border Patrol agent who was close when the shooting started went into the school and shot and killed the gunman who was hiding behind a barricade.

While carrying out the attack, the perpetrator was wearing body armour. Another 18-year-old suspect in the 14 May attack on a grocery store in Buffalo, New York, was wearing body armour and wielding a semi-automatic weapon, both of which are commercially accessible in the United States.
